DTS Pack Coalescer
The DTS Oil-Water Separator is a high efficient oil water separator. It features high efficiency, wide application, easy operation and maintenance, low cost of separation etc. It overcomes high oil content in water and bad removal effect for heavy oil and solid sludge in CPI. Separation efficiency is up to 99%. It combines the technology of plated type oil removal and coarse particle coalescing. It is integrated of pre-treatment, oil water separation, second sedimentation and oil recovery from oily water. It features low equipment investment and operation, high efficient separation, easy maintenance etc. It is a substitute product of vertical oil removal tank,CPI and PPI etc.

The core of the DTS Oil-Water Separator is DTS Pack Coalescer. It consists of structured coalescing pack which integrated inclined channels set at 45 degree angle up and down double cone plates with a certain gaps. It can reduce oil floating time and sludge sinking time. The time after reducing is only 1% of normal time. Each upward cone hole is oil outlet. Each downward cone hole is sludge outlet. Bottom of each double cone plate has salient points. When oily water passes DTS Pack Coalescer, it can catch very tiny oil droplet. After passing 45 degree upward cone surface, the oil droplet will be coalesced to form larger droplet and finish a local oil droplet coalesce. The coalesced oil will rise from upward cone hole to surface of the water faster under the buoyancy.

The principle of DTS Pack Coalescer separation is Stoke’s law and coarse particle coalescing due to the buoyancy differences of oil, water and solid. By Stoke’s Law, oil droplet rising velocity is proportional to the square of oil droplet diameter. Before oily water sedimentation, if oil droplet diameter can be increased, rising velocity of oil droplet will be faster significantly. Oil water separation efficiency is increased too. The 45 degree bottom shape of cone systems allows the solid sludge to converge into the hoppers for easy on-going maintenance of the oil water separator.

According to the flow direction of fluid and the character of blended liquid, the installation direction of DTS Pack Coalescer can be chosen and combined, namely horizontal installation or vertical installation. For oily water with high content of solid, DTS Pack Coalescer had better to be installed horizontally. For oily water with high content of oil, DTS Pack Coalescer had better to be installed vertically. In a single oil water separator, DTS Pack Coalescer can be installed horizontally and vertically according to the specified requirements.
